The Bosphorus Night Boat Tour offers a calm evening cruise along Istanbul’s famed waterway after sunset. With city lights reflecting on the water and bridges illuminated against the night sky, this experience highlights a different side of the city’s character. The pace is relaxed, the views are striking, and the gentle motion of the boat creates an atmospheric way to see Istanbul from the water after the daytime crowds have settled.
The tour starts and finishes at Eminönü, near the Golden Horn. After departure, the boat enters the Bosphorus Strait, leaving the Historical Peninsula behind. Early along the route, views include Topkapı Palace and the Maiden’s Tower at the entrance of the strait.
Continuing north along the European shore, the cruise passes Dolmabahçe Palace, followed by Çırağan Palace and Ortaköy Mosque, located beneath the Bosphorus Bridge. The route proceeds toward the upper Bosphorus, passing landmarks such as Rumeli Fortress and reaching the area near the Second Bosphorus Bridge before turning back.
On the Asian side, the cruise offers views of Beylerbeyi Palace and surrounding waterfront neighborhoods. Throughout the journey, the boat sails between the European and Asian shores, providing continuous views of historic palaces, mosques, waterfront mansions, and bridges.
The return route follows the Bosphorus back toward the Golden Horn, passing the same key landmarks from the opposite perspective before concluding at the original departure point in Eminönü.
